What We Collect
We only collect information that's necessary to provide and improve our Services. Here's a breakdown of what we collect and when.
Information you give us directly
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Creating an account | Name, email address, password, phone number |
| Setting up your store profile | Business name, industry, product categories, pricing details |
| Using content creation tools | Product images, descriptions, ad copy, campaign details |

| Subscribing or paying | Billing details processed via our payment partners (we don't store full card numbers) |
Information we collect automatically
When you use eComrads, we automatically collect certain technical data to keep the platform running smoothly and securely:
- IP address and approximate location (country/region);
- Device type, operating system, and browser;
- Pages visited, features used, and session duration;
- Error logs and performance data.
Most of this is aggregate or anonymized, but some (like IP address) may be considered personal data under applicable law.
Information from third-party integrations
If you connect third-party services (like Meta, Google, or Shopify) to eComrads, those platforms may share certain data with us to enable the integration. What's shared depends on your settings with those platforms and their own privacy policies.
How We Use It
We use your information to operate, improve, and support eComrads. Specifically:
- Providing the Services — creating and managing your account, running platform features, processing payments;
- Personalizing your experience — tailoring content recommendations and platform outputs to your business type and preferences;
- Communications — sending account-related emails (billing confirmations, renewal reminders, support replies). We won't spam you;
- Platform improvement — using aggregated analytics to fix bugs, improve features, and make better product decisions;
- Security and fraud prevention — detecting and preventing misuse, unauthorized access, or abuse;
- Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable law.
We rely on the following legal bases for processing your data: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, your consent, and legal obligation where required.

eComrads relies on the following categories of third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

| Analytics | Google Analytics | Platform performance insights |
| AI tools | OpenAI | Content generation features |

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you connect to eComrads.
Security
We use a combination of technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls and authentication, regular security reviews, and staff confidentiality agreements.
That said, no system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security issue affecting your account, let us know immediately at support@ecomrads.com.
Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as we need it:
- Account data is retained until you close your account and request deletion;
- Technical/log data is typically retained for up to 3 years;
- Payment records are retained for up to 5 years to meet financial and legal obligations;
- Support correspondence is kept for up to 3 years after a ticket is resolved.
After these periods, data is deleted or anonymized unless a longer retention period is required by law.
